Mortad, July 22 (Gatla News): On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the renowned Telangana poet Dasharathi, students from Chathurasra School in Mortad visited the cell where he was once imprisoned at the Nizamabad Fort Jail. The students traveled to Nizamabad to mark the occasion. School Correspondent Nambula Giri stated that this educational trip was organized to clearly explain to the students the significant role played by the great poet Dasharathi in the Telangana movement. He mentioned that the children were taken to the specific cell in the fort jail where Dasharathi had been confined for fighting against the Nizam’s autocratic rule, and his life story was explained to them in detail. Teachers Sridevi and Gangajamuna provided a comprehensive account of Dasharathi’s history, ensuring the students gained a thorough understanding. Parents expressed the view that such programs instill a spirit of awareness and consciousness among the students.
