Morthad, August 12 (Gatla News): The Bonalu festival was celebrated with great grandeur on Tuesday at the local Chathurasra School in Morthad mandal headquarters. Students delighted everyone by dressing in traditional attire for the occasion. Some students stood out as special attractions, dressed as village deities and *Pothurajus*. Carrying *Bonalu* (offerings) with devotion, the female students set out in a procession. They first reached the local Renuka Yellamma temple, where they offered the first *Bonam* to the Goddess and performed special prayers. Subsequently, the procession wound its way through the streets of Mortad, offering a visual treat to onlookers. The energetic performances by students dressed as *Pothurajus*, the graceful gait of the girls carrying *Bonalu*, and the portrayals by children dressed as village deities captivated the local community. School Correspondent Nambulagiri, Headmistress Sridevi, teachers Ganga Jamuna, Bhavitha, and Neelima, along with other staff members and a large number of students, participated in the event.
