– If the problems of journalists are not resolved, there is no need to worry..

– TUWJ (IJU) former national council member Gatla Suresh

Nizamabad, October 02 (Gatla News): Journalists working across the country should resolve the crucial and long-pending issues related to the media industry, said TUWJ IJU former national council member Gatla Suresh and state council member Bobbili Narsaiah. On Friday, a rally was organized under the auspices of the Nizamabad district committee from Nizamabad Press Club to Gandhi Chowk. After the rally, a petition was submitted to Gandhi statue. Speaking on the occasion, the district officials said that they are protesting as part of the country-wide agitation as called by IJU. They especially said that a comprehensive media commission should be formed at the national level. The second press commission was appointed in 1978, and it submitted its report in 1982. Over the past four decades, the Indian media sector has undergone an unprecedented transformation with the emergence of 24/7 broadcast networks, digital news platforms, and social media platforms that have profoundly influenced public discourse. They demanded the formulation of a separate central law for the safety of journalists and media outlets. A law should be enacted to restore and protect legal protections for working journalists. They also demanded the establishment of a new wage council for media employees. They demanded that the state government resolve the issue of houses and land as promised by the Congress government in its election manifesto to journalists in the state, provide health cards to journalists and provide cashless treatment as given to employees, and bring an appropriate law to stop the constant attacks on journalists. District President Sanjeev, General Secretary T. Aravind Balaji, Treasurer Sirigada Prasad, State Council Member Bobbili Narsayya, National Council Member Gangadas, Social Media Member Devidas, District Vice Presidents Govindaraj, Sairam, Murali, Navnathpuram Press Club President: Sunkari Gangamohan, Dichapalli Press Club President Murali, Bodhan Division Incharge Gangulu, and others participated in the program.
